Chairperson’s Report

Message from the Chair

The 2025/2026 year has been one of disciplined growth and strengthened organisational foundations for EPIC. As Chair, I am proud of the organisation’s continued commitment to empowering people, strengthening communities and expanding opportunities across regional Western Australia. Our purpose remains clear, and our strategy continues to be guided by long‑term sustainability and regional impact.

Strategic Impact

EPIC continues to provide important support to people across disability services, parenting programs, Support Coordination and employment pathways. The Board remains focused on the outcomes — increased independence, stronger families and improved access to regional opportunities. These results reinforce EPIC’s role as a trusted regional provider and inform our strategic priorities.

Strategic Priorities

Housing & Workforce

Housing continues to be a critical enabler of regional service delivery. EPIC’s targeted investments across the Pilbara and Goldfields support participant stability and workforce attraction. These decisions strengthen EPIC’s long‑term capacity to deliver high‑quality services where they are needed most.

Infrastructure & Systems

Investment in facilities, technology, automation and organisational systems has improved efficiency and strengthened operational resilience. These enhancements ensure EPIC remains future‑ready and aligned with evolving sector standards.

Service Quality & Governance

EPIC maintained a strong service footprint across supported accommodation, individualised living options, respite, employment services and community‑based supports. The three‑year extension of the Pilbara Retreat respite contract reflects confidence in EPIC’s capability and commitment to regional families.

The Board oversaw improvements in governance, compliance and organisational practice, ensuring EPIC remains safe, responsive and person‑centred.

Our People

EPIC’s workforce continues to demonstrate resilience and commitment in a challenging regional environment. The Board acknowledges the dedication of staff and supports ongoing investment in leadership, culture and organisational structure. A strong, values‑driven workforce remains central to EPIC’s success.

Sustainability & Organisational Strength

EPIC strengthened financial processes, reviewed organisational structures and invested in housing, fleet and technology to support long‑term sustainability. These decisions reflect the Board’s focus on building a stable, future‑ready organisation capable of supporting regional communities for many years to come.

Future focussed

In the coming year, EPIC will continue expanding housing options, strengthening the regional workforce, enhancing service quality and pursuing partnerships that align with our values and regional approach. Growth will remain purposeful — driven by community need, not scale for its own sake.

Our success will continue to be measured by the difference we make in people’s lives and the strength of the communities we serve.

In closing, I would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the entire Epic community.
